The Kalándra is a traditional village of Halkidiki.
The Kalándra built during the last Byzantine era and existence is inextricably tied to the Ancient Mendi.
In Kalándra you can see parts of the ancient wall of Mendi. On the beach of Kalándra, Poseidi there is a shrine of the Poseidon and a stone lighthouse which was built in 1864.
